Will Hall is an American anchor and reporter working for KARE 11 as a sports anchor and multi-media journalist. He joined the KARE 11 news team in August 2022, after previously working for KTVB News Group.
Hall earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Iowa State University in 2011. He initiated his journalism career at 88.5 KURE, assuming the role of Sports Director. In 2010, he became a part of the ISUTV news team as a sports director, contributing his expertise for a year. Subsequently, he transitioned to WOI-DTV in Des Moines, Iowa, where he had previously interned as a sports intern during his college years. At WOI-DTV, he took on responsibilities as a sports anchor and reporter, furthering his professional journey in the field of journalism. In August 2022, he became part of the KARE 11 team, taking on the roles of sports anchor and versatile journalist.
Prior to his move to Minnesota, he accumulated eight years of experience at KTVB, the NBC affiliate located in Boise, Idaho. During his tenure there, he received an Emmy award nomination and played a key role in the news team’s recognition with a regional Murrow Award for their coverage of Leighton Vander Esch’s first-round draft selection by the Dallas Cowboys. Minnesota holds a special place in his heart, as he affectionately refers to it as his “adopted home,” given that his parents reside in Prior Lake. His roots trace back to Des Moines. Here, he spent his formative years before embarking on his academic journey at Iowa State, proudly cheering for the Cyclones. Furthermore, his initial foray into the sports world commenced at WOI, the ABC affiliate in Des Moines.
