Jensen earned her AMS Seal of Approval in broadcast meteorology and has a rich professional background. She has contributed her expertise to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City and worked with the ABC affiliate KTVX in the same city. In her earlier years, she gained work experience at McDonald’s, Afton Alps, and Red Lobster. A proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology. Furthermore, she pursued graduate studies in secondary education at the University of Utah. Actively engaged in community service, she dedicates herself to school involvement, with a particular emphasis on encouraging students, especially girls, to pursue an interest in science.
