Zeigler earned his bachelor’s degree in Meteorology from St. Cloud State in Minnesota. The beginning of his career saw me as the morning meteorologist in Duluth, where he provided weather updates in close proximity to KARE 11 meteorologist Ben Dery. In Springfield, Missouri, he honed his skills in severe weather coverage while serving as the morning meteorologist at KOLR 10. Transitioning to evening broadcasts, he took on the role of Chief Meteorologist in Charlotte, North Carolina. His most recent position was as the chief meteorologist at WKOW in Madison, Wisconsin.
