Shirin Rajaee is an American anchor and reporter who is currently working at FOX 5 DC. She serves as a weekninigt anchor from 6:30 pm and at 10 pm to 11 pm. In addition, she joined the FOX 5 DC news team in 2020.
Her journalism career began at CNN in Los Angeles which is also her native home. While she was at CNN she received training that has helped her throughout her career. When she joined the FOX 5 news team in 2020, she served as a weekend evening anchor and nightside reporter.
Previously, she worked at KOVR CBS in Sacramento where she worked for the past four years serving as an evening anchor and reporter covering state politics and big breaking news stories such as; immigration and terrorism stories, mass shootings in Gilroy and Las Vegas, and the Northern California wildfires. In addition to CBS, she worked at KEYT ABC in Santa Barbara where she served as an anchor and reporter. She stated that she enjoyed interviewing Oprah.
