Hasnie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Indiana University, where she distinguished herself as a Dick Yoakam Broadcast Journalism Scholar. Throughout her academic journey, she gained practical experience by interning as an on-air reporter at WICS-TV in Springfield, Illinois. Coincidentally, her cousin Maira Ansari was also a reporter there, WTHR-TV in Indianapolis, and GEO-TV in Pakistan. Following graduation, she secured a position as an investigative reporter and fill-in anchor at WANE-TV in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where her investigative report on voyeurism. This earned her a nomination for an Emmy Award.
In 2011, she transitioned to WXIN-TV (FOX59) in Indianapolis, assuming the role of an investigative reporter and also serving as the anchor of First at Four. In January 2019, she joined Fox News in New York City, taking on the role of an overnight anchor and news correspondent. By August 2021, she had been appointed as the congressional correspondent for Fox News, and she continues to be a regular guest host on Fox News Live, America’s Newsroom, and America Reports.
