Angela McGlowan is an American political analyst working for Fox News Channel as a contributor. She joined the Fox News Channel team in February of 1999, after previously working for News Corp.

A member of the Mississippi Society, McGlowan, received her bachelor’s degree in public administration with a concentration in criminal justice and political science at the University of Mississippi. At FNC, she covers political, special interest groups and lobbies. McGlowan is the founder and CEO of Political Strategies & Insights (PSI), a Washington, D.C., and Oxford, Mississippi-based consulting business that specializes in government affairs, political strategy, public relations, and advocacy. In addition, she was the former host of “Good Day Street Talk” in New York, the bestselling author of “BAMBOOZLED,” and a regular political analyst on BET, FOX 5, and PBS.
McGlowan worked for Chairman Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation from 1999 to 2005 as director of Government Affairs and Diversity Development. In this role, she led the creation and implementation of strong diversity programs for the Fox Entertainment Group and its owned and operated businesses. She represented News Corporation as a lobbyist and advocate before Congress, pushing for federal, state, and local laws and regulations that aided the company’s goals.
Beginning her career, McGlowan worked for the Better America Foundation as director of Outreach under honorary chairman Sen. Bob Dole. In this role, she met with members of Congress to discuss policy and represented the foundation to Republican and Independent groups interested in policy goals. She competed as a Miss USA contestant, representing the District of Columbia, in 1994. In addition, McGlowan was employed as Mirage Resorts, Inc.’s public affairs assistant and as the press secretary for the Honorable John Ensign, who represented Nevada’s First District.

Her father, James Thomas McGlowan, was a professor, a United Methodist minister, a civil rights worker, and a community activist. He was also the first principal of Hernando Central, now called Oak Grove Central Elementary School, a building for African-American students from grades 1-12 during segregation, from 1958 to 1960. James passed away in 1982 when Angela was 12 years old, after suffering from Cancer.
