Josh Robin is an American anchor and reporter working for Spectrum News as a national anchor and chief national political reporter. He joined the Spectrum News news team in November 2018, after previously working for NY1 News.

Josh graduated from Tufts University and earned a master’s degree from Stanford University. When he was in college, he decided to become a reporter during a semester abroad in Nairobi, Kenya. As a stringer for The Nairobi Law Monthly, Josh reported on allegations of police brutality near Kenya’s border with Sudan. Josh has covered a wide range of political stories, from elections to scandals, during his long career in media. He has also broken significant news and questioned four US presidents as well as several presidential contenders.
Many accolades have been bestowed upon him for his work, including several Emmys and awards from the New York Press Club, the Associated Press, and the Society of Professional Journalists. Josh worked as a newspaper reporter for The Seattle Times and Newsday’s New York City edition before joining Spectrum News. Additionally, he has written for BuzzFeed, The New York Times, The Daily Beast, Salon, The San Francisco Chronicle, and The (N.Y.) Daily News. He started on NY1 in 2005 as a member of the legendary political crew on the channel.
He conducted in-depth interviews with all of the most recent governors and mayors, as well as covering state, federal, and local politics while traveling widely within and outside of the country. When he initially discovered in 2018 that children were being transported to New York following their forcible separation from their parents at the southern border of the United States, his news garnered attention on a global scale. The White House terminated the policy shortly after the news surfaced.
