Haynes earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications with a focus on broadcast journalism, along with a minor in Psychology, from Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee. During her time at TSU, she actively participated in the communications department and served as the head news anchor for TSU-TV News 98. In addition to this, she was also a writer for the school newspaper and achieved the distinction of being the first student to executive produce and host the student-run TV program. She further honed her skills at the Illinois Media School in Chicago, concentrating on radio broadcasting and production.
Before entering the professional arena, she gained valuable experience through internships with The Equity Alliance, uCasters X Stream Media LLC, and voluntary work as the social media manager for M.E.A.N. Girls Empowerment. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and the National Association of Black Journalists. During her leisure time, she delights in attending local events, reading, dancing, and traveling with family and friends.
