Belén Smole is an American anchor and reporter working for Telemundo62 as a news anchor and investigative reporter on weekdays at 12 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. She joined the Telemundo62 news team in March 2022, after previously working for KXLN-TV.
Smole received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Universidad Católica Argentina and a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University in New York. She currently works as an anchor for Telemundo62 and also hosts Al Momento, a digital newscast streamed on the Telemundo62 apps on Roku and Apple TV.
Belén joins Telemundo62 from KXLN-TV, a Houston-based Univision affiliate where she worked as a stand-in morning anchor and consumer investigative reporter. She was employed at KCEC-TV in Denver, Colorado, as a multimedia journalist and general assignment reporter before that. She filled in as an anchor for the station’s newscasts in Colorado, New Mexico, and Kansas during her time there. Prior to that, Smole worked as an intern in digital media at CNN en Español in Atlanta.
