Albert Ramon is an American Emmy-Award Winning meteorologist working for CBS2 Chicago as a chief meteorologist at 6 and 10 p.m. weekday forecasts. He joined the CBS news team in 2021, after previously working for News Nation Network.
Ramon holds degrees in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University and in Communication/Media Studies from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. These he acquired in both 2007 and 2005 respectively. He also worked in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the CBS affiliate, where he also served as a chief meteorologist. Here he worked as a weekend meteorologist for 5 months, morning meteorologist for 3 years, and chief meteorologist for 10 Months.
Ramon then moved to Austin, Texas where he won two regional Emmy Awards and several Associated Press Awards, including for Best Weathercast. He also spent more than a decade at KVUE-TV in Austin, Texas, where he served as chief meteorologist. In addition, Ramon has earned Seals of Approval from both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.
