Kari Hall is an American Emmy award-winning meteorologist working for NBC Bay Area as a morning newscast Today in The Bay. She joined the NBC Bay Area news team in 2015, after previously working for News 12 in Connecticut.
Hall was brought up in Louisville, Kentucky, and went to Mississippi State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Geoscience with an emphasis in Broadcast Meteorology. Kari’s love for weather began at an early age but her career started when she landed her first job at KATC in Lafayette, Los Angeles, where she covered severe weather events, including Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Gustav. Having lived in Louisiana for six years, she returned to her native Kentucky, working as the weekend meteorologist at WKYT in Lexington, where she often covered snowstorms and tornadoes.
Prior to his working at NBC Bay Area, Hall was the Chief Meteorologist at News 12 in Connecticut, for two years. Additionally, she has a seal of approval from the National Weather Association and is a member of the American Meteorological Society. During her spare time, Kari enjoys cooking, traveling, Zumba dancing, and being outdoors.
