Kristin Sanchez Biography
Kristin Sanchez is an American reporter and host working for WTVJ as a weekday at 12:30 pm host of host of South Florida Live. She joined the NBC6 news team in May 2018, after previously working for WINK.
When Sanchez joined the NBC 6 news team, she served as morning news and traffic anchor on Today newscast airing on weekdays from 4:30 am to 7 am. Prior to joining the NBC6 news team, Kristin worked in Fort Myers, Florida where she worked for the CBS affiliate in the area, WINK. While working for WINK, Sanchez worked for two years as a news reporter and not long ago, she served as a traffic reporter. In addition, Kristin worked for ABC affiliate WFTV in Orlando, Florida, and NBC Sports Golf Channel where she held producer positions. She also worked for NBC affiliate WMBF, in Orlando where she was a weekend reporter before relocating to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Over the years, Kristin has received honors as the “Best Anchorwoman” by the Fort Lauderdale Magazine in the years; 2020, 2021, and 2022. She also received the “Prestigious Women Award” from South Florida’s Business & Wealth Magazine. The award was presented to her for her broadcasting work in South Florida. Furthermore, Sanchez is also active in a number of charity organizations in South Florida such as; Rebuilding Together Broward, Miss Arc Broward, and the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
Furthermore, Sanchez is from Long Island and she attended Florida Southern College where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree with majors in broadcast, online media, print, and minors in business and Spanish. She also attended the University of Florida where she graduated with a master’s degree in public relations.
