Poppy Harlow is an American multiple Emmy award-winning anchor working for CNN. She serves as the co-anchor of CNN This Morning alongside Phil Mattingly on weekday mornings from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. Harlow joined the CNN news team in January 2008, after previously working for Forbes Video Network.

Harlow being a creator, hosts a podcast on CNN titled”BossFiles with Poppy Harlow.” Previously, Poppy served as the co-anchor of CNN Newsroom on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. alongside Jim Sciutto. Over the years, by interviewing the world’s top business leaders and CEOs she has imparted deep economic knowledge. During breaking news, Harlow often reports from the fields, in 2015, Poppy was sent to Paris where she covered the terror attacks in the area. While she was in Paris, she anchored for two weeks on the personal stories of victims of the attack and their families. Furthermore, she extensively covered the Boston Marathon bombings. During the attack, many women lost their limbs and Poppy reported on their recovery and resilience for years.
Poppy advocates for income equity and provides solutions for closing the opportunity gap for women and minorities as seen in her reporting. In addition, she launched “American Opportunity” a multi-media series that focuses on shining a light on disparity across America.
Before joining Forbes Video Network, Poppy worked at NY1 News where she served as an anchor and reporter. Hailing from Minnesota, Harlow earned her degree Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa in Political Science from Columbia University. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master’s degree in studies of law from Yale Law School. Poppy has also undertaken studies at King’s College London.

Harlow has a history of serving on the Board of Trustees of Girls Club in New York City and Madison Square Boys.
