Steve Burton Biography
Steve Burton is an American sports anchor and reporter working for WBZ-TV. He joined the WBZ-TV team in August 1994.
New England is Burton’s native home and he was brought up in Framingham, Massachusetts. He attended Framingham High School. While he was there, he was the quarterback for the school’s football team. Later on, he joined Northwestern University where he graduated with a bachelor of science degree in Communications and a master’s degree in Broadcast journalism. While he studied at Northwestern University, he also played for its football team as a quarterback
Before Steve joined WBZ-TV, he worked for New England Sports Network (NESN) from 1988, as a sports anchor and reporter. While he worked at New England Sports Network (NESN), he served as the host of the pre-and post-game shows for the Boston Red Sox. Whenever Burton is not working, he can be found at the Ron Burton Training Village, which is a year-long training program that enriches the lives of inner-city youth by focusing on physical wellness, education, spiritual growth, and leadership. Burton is also a member of the board of a number of children’s charities such as; the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism.
