Kristine Johnson is an American anchor working for CBS2, as an evening co-anchor at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. Johnson joined the CBS New York team in 2006.
Over the years Kristine has earned a number of Emmy awards. She has covered many breaking news events such as; the Boston Marathon bombings, the Newtown school massacre, Hurricane Sandy, and two different visits to the Big Apple. In addition, Johnson is an anchor on the weekly network’s digital streaming platform where she served as a fill-in anchor on “CBS Mornings” and fill-in reporter for “CBS Sunday Morning.”
Johnson started her career at WPRI in Providence, Rhode Island in 1994, as a part-time assignment editor. Kristine shifted through a number of production positions for the next 10 years before later becoming a reporter. She relocated to New York City in 2004 and secured a job at MSNBC where she served as a daytime ancho. In addition, Kristine has represented WCBS in a number of events around the Tri-State Area. In addition, Kristine has worked closely with; March of Dimes, the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Run, the greater New York chapters of the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure, and The Brain Tumor Foundation. Johnson has completed NYC marathons and she enjoys doing yoga whenever she finds time.
