Maurice DuBois Biography
Maurice DuBois is an American anchor working for CBS2 as the co-anchor of the 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts. He joined the CBS New York team in September 2004.
Maurice DuBois Career
While working for CBS2, he serves as a substitute anchor for CBS Evening News. He has also reported for CBS Sunday Morning and 60 Minutes Sports. Maurice has also hosted “48 Hours,” “CBS Sunday Morning,” and “CBS Mornings” (formerly “CBS This Morning”). In addition, he has covered everything from national politics to local news. He has also covered the Papal transition at the Vatican, AIDS in South Africa, and witnessed a double execution. Maurice has also served as the anchor of many live breaking news stories and he moderated debates for New York City Congress and Mayor.
Long Island is DuBois’ native home and he attended Northwestern University where he earned four Honorary PhDs. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Prior to joining CBS, Maurice worked at WNBC-TV for a number of years. While he worked at NBC News, he made appearances on “Dateline NBC,” “Today,” NBC News at Sunrise, “Weekend Today,” and MSNBC. In addition, while DuBois worked at WNBC-TV, he served as the host of “Four Stories,” which is a magazine profiling local heroes.
